I haven't blogged in ages. I'm like one of those people that gets a diary for the new year, writes in a few significant dates, fills in the emergency contact info and then forgets about it.
A couple of years ago I bought a 2003 bottle of wine in St Emilion, France. Not much of a wine snob, but I thought I'd sit on it for a while until it was reasonably old, then impress people at a party. Impatience got the better of me and I opened it about 6 months later. The day after I drank it I noticed the diary I had got for the year and never touched, and started thumbing through all the seemingly useless information in the front. What did I find? A guide to wine regions of the world with advice on when wine is at its best. St Emilion..... 2003.... NOT READY YET.
So I guess the parable there is - diaries are a good thing.
I will try and blog more this year, I promise.
